How do you distill a trip into a scent? And in a city as magical as Kyoto, where do you even begin?

In 2024, Kyoto blew us away. The center of kōdō (the way of fragrance) for over a thousand years, it should come as no surprise that a walk through Kyoto is a magical olfactory experience. The air smells like a carefully layered blend of aromas; the floral notes from the oasis-like little gardens, the earthiness of hinoki from old storefronts, and the lingering incense from the temples. 

We wanted to translate this experience through our new scent; Kyoto Gardens.

It’s a warm, gentle smell, with a subtle mix of smokey and floral aromas. Warm, rich notes of Sandalwood, wrapped around a honeyed blend of creamy Osmanthus and sweet floral hyacinth, balanced with clean, woody Hinoki and resinous undertones of Cedarwood, with an unexpected touch of leather on the finish.
